The Purpose of Life

 You have heard it said*: “The purpose of life is not to be happy.  It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.” 

But I say unto you: "The purpose of life should not be the pursuit of happiness.  Instead, the purpose of life should be to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have one's life make some positive difference that verifies that you have lived and lived well."
